Universe Deluxe Wave 03 Sideswipe features a new head sculpt and shares encompassing portions of his mold design with his twin brother, Universe Deluxe Sunstreaker. Bearing a color scheme reminiscent of his Gen 1 incarnation, Sideswipe is a sleek, heavily articulated figure equipped with a gun accessory. Sideswipe�s meticulous combat skills and capacity for underhanded tactics rival those of Sunstreaker, although Sideswipe�s lust for battle lacks the element of Sunstreaker�s vindictiveness. His courage-powered recklessness occasionally results in damage to himself. Sideswipe�s rocket pack enables him to fly for up to 2 minutes, and he�s capable of firing flares that are visible for 18 miles. In the original cartoon episode, �Masquerade�, Sideswipe was camouflaged to resemble Breakdown as part of an Autobot plan to impersonate the Stunticons.
