The Exclusive Armored Jetfire Bust is limited to 600 pieces. Armored Jetfire is equipped with a photon missile launcher, and is mounted atop a mechanized base bearing a center-situated Autobot emblem. This battle-damaged version of Jetfire features a removable mask plate modeled after the likeness of the Gen 1 Jetfire figure; the mask plate can be alternately carried in Jetfire’s left hand. Originally, Jetfire, a peaceful scientist, shared a friendship with fellow scientist Starscream. During an investigation of the prehistoric Earth, Jetfire was caught by a forceful wind and deposited somewhere on the planet. Starscream searched for Jetfire but failed to recover him. Eventually Jetfire was discovered, sealed within Arctic ice. Starscream anxiously oversaw Jetfire’s resuscitation, and once Megatron had officially christened Jetfire a Decepticon warrior, attempted unsuccessfully to recruit Jetfire as a subversive ally.
